About Hayabusakan Judo Club

Hayabusakan Judo Club has been producing national and international level judo athletes since 2012 under Head Sensei, Justin Chan.

Hayabusakan teaches competitive judo with classes that are suitable for all levels, including beginner and recreational classes.

Trainings are designed to build the physical, technical and mental toughness that make judoka some of the most resilient athletes in the world.

Kids classes (both recreational and competitive) are designed to build unshakable confidence that goes beyond just ego-pumping like most commercialized martial arts clubs. Respect and discipline are equally woven into both streams. They say it takes a village to raise a child. This is the village.

Adult classes (both recreational and competitive) are designed to build physical toughness that ultimately translates into confidence and real-world resilience.

When choosing a club to join, whether it’s Hayabusakan or any other club, have a look at the kids classes…. If you see kids under 16 years old running around the class with black belts or dark coloured belts (like brown), ask yourself the simple question: “Can that kid handle themselves against the average adult on street?” If the answer is a laughable “NO”, then that dojo/club/school/academy is there for purposes other than to teach you/your kid how to fight. At Hayabusakan, are goal is to ensure that all of our students are taught how to fight by sparring (randori) with others. Hayabusakan’s grading system is based purely on merit – no gimmicks, no monthly/yearly minimum practices attended/black packages to be paid for.
